Our Team
Bob Wickenkamp has been helping people across our nation reach their financial goals since 1996. He is passionate about helping them make a difference in their lives and the lives of their families. His extensive experience with small business and personal retirement plans, social security retirement benefit strategies, retirement income planning, and investment portfolio allocations provides the knowledge necessary to map out a thorough retirement strategy that successful retirees depend on.
Bob has the AIF® designation, which means he approaches his clients' situations prudently and works in what is truly in their best interest. His niche is not selling investments or receiving commissions, nor do we charge money managers or vendors to be included in our database. He consults on a fee-based arrangement. He offers innovative strategies while striving to reduce expenses, improve performance, and satisfy fiduciary responsibilities.
Bob takes an active role in our community by helping with several non-profit organizations. He sits on the board of directors for the Lake County Community Concert Association. He provides monthly financial education services for other non-profit organizations. He enjoys working with youth teaching them the basics about their finances.
Christy Wickenkamp has over 18 years in the manufacturing industry where she specialized in Information Technology and Communications. This experience sharpened her skills in the areas of risk assessment and long term visioning. In 2009, she joined Bob as his operations manager. In 2011, she obtained her Illinois insurance license and now focuses on identifying strategies to help their clients to reduce their long term exposure to risk.
One area she is passionate about is helping people that are becoming eligible for Medicare. She helps them understand their options so they can make better decisions within the appropriate time frames to avoid penalties. She approaches this from an individualized long term perspective. Her intent is to help people make good decisions now that impact their healthcare costs for years to come. She has even helped one client reduce her monthly drug costs by over $200 by recommending steps she could take. She works with Bob to ensure that these factors are considered within the individuals financial plan.
Christy also works with clients to evaluate different strategies to address their long term care, replacement of income and other needs that minimizes their risk of financial loss.
Christy takes an active role in the community working as a volunteer in different roles. She currently is a member of the Teen Mother Choices (TMC) board of directors. TMC comes alongside teenage mothers helping them stay in school, teaching them basic life skills and providing the support they need to become contributing members of society.
